Small Town, Big City
For those who are unaware, I am from San Antonio. I have lived there all of my life. So therefore, I am accustomed to living in a large city. When I decided to attend TLU, I was aware that Seguin was a small town but I just didn't know what to expect. This past weekend, I decided to enjoy a nice dinner at Chili's here in Seguin. I have been to Chili's many times before so it was nothing new to me. When I walked through the doors, I immediately recognized one of the workers. I realized that he was a student at TLU. Although I didn't know his name, I knew who he was because I had seen him numerous times before. My friend and I were later seated at our table. A few minutes later, three more people walk through the doors. Again, I notice that they are TLU students. I didn't know their names either but I had often seen them walking around campus. I sat at the table in amazement while we waited for our waiter. It was quite unusual how amused I was to see people I know outside of school. I feel like this occurrence is normal to someone who grew up in a small town but very interesting for me. I later sat through the whole dinner in amazement.
